The key agenda of the trip was the promotion of the PDEng program at relevant engineering companies while providing the trainees with a fun start to the summer. A whole week was spent in visiting industries and enjoying different attractions in the cities.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Eni Spa<\/strong> (Milan, Italy) was the first stop for the trainees where the company had arranged for a bus tour of their refinery and demonstrated the testing of their fire trucks. On the next day, the trainees visited <strong>Hexion<\/strong> (Milan, Italy) where they were given a walking tour of the facilities in appropriate PPE. After spending their free time enjoying the sun and eating lots of ice- cream, the trainees bid adieu to Italy and moved on to Geneva, Switzerland.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The first industrial visit in Geneva was to <strong>The DuPont Innovation Centre<\/strong> where the trainees were given an extensive overview of the varied products created by the company. The following day was spent at <strong>Syngenta<\/strong> (Basel, Switzerland) and here the trainees were acquainted with the innovation path followed by Syngenta from lab scale tests to pilot plant facilities.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">On a lighter note, the trainees had the opportunity to watch a World Cup 2018 football match between Croatia and England at Geneva\u2019s public viewing square. Exploring the beauty of Basel, visiting some art museums and enjoying a few swims in the Rhine made the trip truly unforgettable.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-33 elementor-top-column elementor-element
